There are a few straggling stripers around out front, a pretty impressive number of them mixed in with the perch catch out back. Of course, a lot changes as of January 1 with the striped bass fishery, not to mention the end of the season for those looking for winter flounder and sea bass. As for the weekend weather outlook, according to the folks at NOAA Weather, a strong area of high pressure will start our day Wednesday, shifting offshore later in the afternoon as a cold front moves across the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region on Thursday. That front moves north by late Friday, as a cold front is expected to move across our region on Saturday with yet another low pressure system developing on Sunday. What’s it all mean? Just to keep an eye on the weather forecast to kick off 2021 as it could affect sailing conditions at some point in the next handful of days.
