You can pretty much tell that the New Jersey striped bass run of 2021 has shifted to another gear in week number two by the amount blurred, masked and manipulated images we’re beginning to see on social media. Reports of keeper class bass are coming from all local waters at this point – the Delaware, Great Egg Harbor, Mullica, Toms and Raritan – but understandably many anglers are growing protective of spots which are producing best. Looks like the state will be loosening indoor and outdoor gathering restrictions on March 19, but anglers are still encouraged to keep proper “social distancing” protocols in place (if for no other reason than to protect “spot” integrity!)
