We’re heading into Labor Day weekend with video of a purported inshore white marlin catch & release less than 10 miles from the beach. Other exotics showing up in our fishing reports include a Delaware barracuda, a Nantucket cubera snapper, and some South Jersey success targeting cobia. Speedsters like false albacore, Spanish mackerel and bonito are also in the mix this week, and we’ve got advice on how to catch them in the September edition of The Fisherman. After the holiday weekend we’ll be turning our attention back to the fall run and running the beach, plus there are weakfish around and some solid structured fluking to go with jumbo bluefish. We’ve got your weekly offshore intel from Canyon Runner and a look at freshwater options in the tri-state region from the Pocono Outdoors Guy. Wrap up the Labor Day weekend forecast with a rundown on peanut bunker reports at the Jersey Shore and details on how to weigh-in on the upcoming sandbar (brown) shark stock assessment.
