Exclusive Interview: 16.8-Pound Surf-Caught Fluke & Labor Day Weekend Fishing
Labor Day weekend is upon us, and with that, it marks the unofficial end of summer, but you don’t have to worry because some of the best fishing of the year is still ahead of us. Colder temperatures at night have stirred some of the bait in the creeks and sent them out into the bays, triggering some bass, blues, and fluke to feed on them. Speaking of fluke, you might have heard of the epic surf-caught fluke from last week that weighed 16.8 pounds. We interviewed the angler in this week’s video. The WICC Greatest Bluefish Tournament also ended with a bang, with a winning blue over 20 pounds! And stick around to the end of the report for a quick tutorial on opening clams and oysters. Enjoy the long weekend, and remember to get some fishing in!
