Don’t Want to Work? Bang on the Drum
More black drum reports coming in through our weekly fishing reports at TheFisherman.com, as sod bank casters in the Great Bay, Absecon Bay area in particular have found some early boomers picking up their baits. Striped bass action is picking up along the open beaches, in ad-dition to the river hot spots which have been producing since the March 1 opener in the Garden State. Tautog action continues this month for boats heading out of ports in New Jersey and Del-aware, though jetty jocks continue to score from shore. We’re past the April moon and hoping for a warming trend in the next few days, though the fast-moving nor’easter earlier in the week could’ve been the trigger for an onslaught of saltwater action. Could the inlet invasion by those yellow-eyed devils begin this week? Someone has to be the first on the scene!
