August 11th, 2022 Weekend Fishing Forecast NJ/DE Bay Region
We again lead off our weekly video fishing forecast at the Jersey Shore with beach sharking news from Sea Isle City which was awash in Philly region headlines earlier this summer from reports of sand tigers and sandbar sharks being caught along the shore. No more, as the Sea Isle City council voted this week to ban shark fishing on town beaches; according to the news reports, some residents have complained about the beach shark fishing while citing photos and video circulating on social media showing sharks being caught off the beaches. Yeah, call that the ultimate spot burn! Also picking up where we left off last week, a cobia report out of the LBI area and plenty of fluke along the beaches though you may have to work a bit to find those productive pockets. Big fish honors of the week this week go to Dan Mancini who hit a 13-pound doormat fluke aboard the Big Mohawk out of Belmar this week. Plus, our Pocono Outdoors Guy’s report, offshore action, stripers in the mix, and what you can expect (tautog, triggerfish and/or sheepshead) around those jetty rocks.
