Southbound & Snapper Down – Plus, a Lower Cape Spotlight
The Fisherman’s Jim Hutchinson, Jr. reports from the Florida Keys this week and finds plenty of our neighbors there seeking shelter from the cold and snow back home in the Northeast. His final tally on a mid-week trip out of Islamorada aboard Capt. Easy Charters was a few vermillion, lane, mutton and almaco jack in the box, with a couple of sharks, false albacore and red snapper (think jumbo black sea bass in January and February, hungry and off limits to anglers) released. Holding down our snowy fort up north this week is George “The Pocono Outdoors Guy” Schaeur’s, and also take a tour of the fisheries department at Lower Cape May Regional High School with Jeff Martin and learn what makes this hands on fisheries class so unique.
