NJ Striper Report Since 3/1 – Spectacular, Explosive & Improving!

We’re 10 days in to the 2022 “outback” striper season in New Jersey and two words in particular from our weekly reports at TheFisherman.com this week probably describe it best – “spectacular” and “explosive.” We run through the latest reports from north to south this week, with a 20-pound class “urban assault” fish for one American Angler, updates from Shark River and Manasquan on winter flounder and stripers, and a look at the Mullica and Great Egg areas which are historic Garden State waters for spawning stripers. A new baitholder circle hook hits the market this week as we also provide striped bass updates from along the Delaware from Reeds Beach out to Fortescue, along with the 2022 season’s first reported shad up the Delaware River. Details on the upcoming striped bass Amendment 7 hearings, a tentative date for the next meeting of New Jersey Marine Fisheries Council, a new Recreational Reform Initiative that’s now taking shape, our latest winner of a Sterling Tackle Wide Tracker in Atlantic City, and a rather unusual word of warning from surfcasting legend Bob the Garbage Man in this week’s full weekend forecast.
