New Jersey Video Fishing Forecast – March 17, 2022

Sneak Peek at Potential NJ Fluke & Sea Bass Options for ‘22

At around the 10-minute mark of this week’s video fishing forecast for the Jersey Shore, we get a quick look at potential options being reviewed for New Jersey fluke and sea bass regulations in 2022. These potential season, size and bag options need official sign-off by the ASMFC which is expected to come next week, at which point we’ll learn more in advance of the next virtual council meeting on April 7. While the fisheries management seems only to exist “online or on a computer screen, rather than in person or in the physical world,” the saltwater anglers of New Jersey continue to attack the back rivers and bays in search of striped bass. In this week’s full video forecast we have striped bass reports from Lady Liberty down and around to the City of Brotherly Love (and most everything in between). Worms, wormballs and lures all working even as water temps still need to really pick up a few more degrees to truly heat up this spring run. Winter flounder advice, a reminder for New Jersey trout fishermen, and big show weekend out in Edison, Rahway and Asbury Park.
