Winds Lay Down, Heat Turns Up At Jersey Shore
After a week of stiff nor’east winds and a whole lot of rain, the forecast for the weekend ahead in the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region is looking up. Expect striper action along the open beaches to heat up, with that solid bass bite to pick up again along the Delaware and Raritan. The Fisherman Magazine is out on our annual Northeast Striped Bass Deployment again this week with our friends from Gray Fishtag Research – join us in the hunt for jumbos on Thursday, May 12. Weakfish and black drum reports in South Jersey are picking up, and fluke fishermen are looking forward to a return to the bays and rivers in search of a weekend fish fry.
