October Arrives, Bring on the Jersey Shore Blitz!
We kick off this week’s video forecast in the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region with details on the Northeast Striped Bass Study and a truly amazing discovery along the Westhampton Beach on Long Island this week. Winds lay down heading into the weekend with fall-like temperatures finally arriving; could this be the trigger that brings on the fall blitz? Things look good by the weekend and reports of bluefish, striped bass and even a few albies up north are coming through our beach report desk, including “blitz” conditions in the north and some renewed hope for red drum and specks down south. In between there are plenty of weakfish being reported for those putting in their time. Just one week out from the start of the black sea bass reopening in New Jersey, and a subscriber update in The Fisherman’s Dream Boat Fishing Challenge as we enter the month of October.
