Before the month of March was done, the first reported 50-pound striped bass was caught and released on the Delaware River during our balmy start to the week. In fact, we have a few 40-inch striped bass in this week’s report from that stretch, as those egg-laden jumbo stripers have apparently returned for their upper Delaware migration; which can only mean one thing, that the Raritan Bay bite is also ready to explode! We answer viewer email comments this week with a regional rundown on varied striped bass regulations among neighbor states – DE, PA, NY & NJ, they’re all surprisingly different – plus the first terra firm blackfish and black drum reports are also included in this week’s full video fishing forecast, as are details on our trout season kickoff coming up on Saturday, April 5th.
