Expect April’s “Fish Moon” To Trigger More Action

The Farmers’ Almanac first began publishing native-American names for full moons in the early 20th Century, with the Pink Moon of April corresponding to the early spring blooms of creeping phlox. The Pink Moon is also known as the Egg Moon, though coastal tribes also referred to it as the Fish Moon as shad and stripers began their upriver spawns.
