NJ/DE Bay Region Fishing Forecast – December 14, 2023

Titanic Tautog, Beefy Bluefin & Southbound Stripers

Dropping water temps may be pushing striped bass and baitfish along the southerly migration, but it’s also helping solidify the late fall, early winter tautog bite at the Jersey Shore. We have a couple of upper-teen-sized blackfish in our video forecast this week, along with more solid reports from just across the line on bluefin tuna. Of course, that’s not to say there are no stripers along the beach; in fact there’s a good chance you’ll score just about any morning or afternoon this week along the right stretch, especially if you’re still pushing out past the inlets down into the southern half of the Garden State. Jenni has a few gift ideas from the Tackle Box this week, the Pocono Outdoors Guy has his weekly freshwater update, and we officially wrap up The Fisherman’s Dream Boat Fishing Challenge while sampling a little taste of La Pura Vida from Quepos.
