NJ/DE Bay Region Fishing Forecast – December 29, 2022

Where Are They Now? Final Forecast of ‘22

Our final video fishing forecast of the year for the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region comes on the heels of a Christmas weekend packed with hard winds, immense amounts of water and bitter cold. The good news ahead for the New Year’s weekend at the Jersey Shore is much milder temperatures, and hopefully a nice kickoff to your 2023 fishing season. Tins and teasers, sand eel imitations, small shads and plugs for stripers in the surf, even perhaps down into Wildwood area which plays host to our first winter boating/fishing show of the year on January 7 & 8. But where are the big stripers now? Well, somewhere between South Jersey and Cape Charles, VA for the most part. Catch up with our Dream Boat and Coastal Kayak Clash winners from 2022, enjoy the final days of the ’22 black sea bass season, and gear up for tautog as we head into January of ’23. Our Pocono’s report this week has news of fishable ice, while word from Costa Rica is anything but cold.
