For our team at The Fisherman it’s ‘all hands on deck’ this weekend for the Wildwood Fishing and Boating Expo at the oceanfront convention center in Wildwood. One of the seminar speakers on Saturday and Sunday in Wildwood is our Jenni Ackerman who has a few photos to share this week on Open Boat, while our Pocono Outdoors Guy is keeping an eye on the regional ice conditions for hardwater anglers. Fish-wise, with 51 days until the reopening of the outback striper season in New Jersey (yeah, some of us really are counting the days) the best bet for the weekend ahead is tautog on the wrecks, reefs and snags. Plenty of for-hire options in the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region running blackfish trips. Offshore the head boats are also finding cod, pollock and the occasional jumbo weakfish too.
