NJ/DE Bay Region Fishing Forecast – September 8, 2022

September 8, Post-Labor Day Fishing & Scouting Forecast

Our September 8th, 2022 video fishing forecast for the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region kicks off with a look at post-Labor Day beaches and these “in between days” of surfcasting opportunities. While still a tad early for false albacore (a week or three) the Spanish mackerel and bonito are around; but working different beaches in the comfort of shorts now, at various stages of the tide, can help provide better scouting intel now before the hot and heavy action of October and November gets underway. Sure, there are plenty of fluke in the wash too and these final 2-1/2 weeks of the Jersey fluke season could be some of the very best days of the season from Ambrose and the Rattlesnake to the offshore reef sites off Cape May and Delaware. Get our sweetwater update with your Pocono Outdoors Guy and head offshore for a look at tuna, billfish and mahi with a “sporty” weekend forecast from the folks at NOAA Weather.
