New Jersey & Delaware Bay Video Fishing Forecast June 11, 2026
We're heading into the second weekend of June, and it appears the summer heat is on here at the Jersey Shore. It's been a tough fluke bite out back in many areas, but hopefully the uptick in water temps and good-looking weather forecast for this Saturday the 13th proves to be the turn-around needed for beach, bay and inlet fluking. But reports have an ocean bite underway, and nearshore squid action has been surprisingly good. Big fluke honors of the week comes by way of Big Dave's Tackle in South Jersey, but will it make it to the Dream Boat Leaderboard? Last year's winning subscriber just took delivery of his Dream Boat Steiger; tips on how to win! More reports from The Fisherman's readers and weekly viewers, plus our offshore intel report from Canyon Runner, the weekly freshwater rundown, and we wrap up the week with prayers for a recently departed friend along with upcoming events in the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region.

Hot and humid temps have raised surf temps into the 65- to 67-degree range as of this past weekend, starting an early summertime pattern of some kingfish, spot and fluke pushing into the suds. Sporadic shots of chopper bluefish wolfpacks are running around while clammers are still finding plenty of stripers and a few black drum. Sheepshead showed up in bigger numbers this week and toothy predator real deal sharks are night prowling about.

Greg at Fisherman’s Headquarters in Ship Bottom said the summertime beasties are showing up as spot and striped burrfish are being caught on Fishbites off the bayside docks. Meanwhile out front, scattered stripers are still chomping on clams with an errant black drum here and there. Bluefish are sporadically showing up down at the south end of the island to hit plugs and chunk baits. Fluke fishing is still trying to get some steam going in the suds.

Down in Cape May at Hand’s Too Bait and Tackle Nick and Will teamed up to tell me that kingfish and spike weakfish have moved in with a couple nicer weakfish hitting at low light and clean water conditions on pink Zooms and Fin-S. Bloodworms have been hard to get lately so you can substitute Fishbites as needed. There’s been good reports of sheepshead around all jetty rockpiles with anglers floating sand fleas to get bit. Bluefish are moving anywhere off Cape May Point and the black drum finale should be legit clamming anywhere along the Bayshore to Cape May Point.
