August 4th, 2022 Weekend Fishing Forecast NJ/DE Bay Region
Well, perhaps not “thousands” of rays in our opening video sequence along the Ocean County beaches, but there are literally thousands of rays swimming along the New Jersey, Delaware Bay coast region right now, and clearly there are other critters (as evidenced by opening video provided by Angry Fish Gallery) swimming amongst them. So, can we target striped bass, bluefish and cobia around the rays? Mainstream media headlines are screaming “SHARK” but we have a rather tongue-in-cheek reminder this week about catch and release sharking in the surf. Plenty of fluke in the surf as well, a pretty solid looking offshore forecast in the days ahead, our weekly update from George the Pocono Outdoors Guy and a look at the first week of open tautog fishing (12:15) along the Jersey Coast.
