New Jersey Video Fishing Forecast – February 24, 2022

Five Days & Counting – NJ Outback Bass & Flounder

We’re in the final days of the winter closure of striped bass in the back bays of New Jersey. On March 1, we kick off the striped bass fishery in the Garden State, and this week’s video forecast should get you thinking about working those sod banks and sedges. Winter flounder is also open as of this coming Tuesday, a good time to soak some bloods alongside a chum pot along the piers and bulkheads of Ocean and Monmouth County. While Jersey blackfish may be on break as of the first tides of March, anglers in Delaware are hoping to hit the inshore snags in the month ahead for a few tautog. Plenty of white perch around in New Jersey and Delaware, more info on circle hooks and striped bass conservation, and our weekly freshwater update with the George the Pocono Outdoors Guy. We’ve got winners to announce from last weekend’s show giveaway of a pair of Sterling Widetrackers, where you’ll get a shot to win next, and “worm ball” advice from along the Raritan Bayshore. Grab a copy of the March edition of The Fisherman Magazine and let’s gear up for the 2022 run!
