Peanut bunker continue to pour out of the back bays and estuaries which is leading to a solid bite out front for surfcasters up and down the Jersey Coast. We kick off this week’s video forecast for the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region in glassy conditions in the Wednesday morning surf in Ocean County where surfcasters were beginning to find some more striper quantity this week; updates as well on the upcoming Surf Turkey Tournament and the long-running LBI Surf Fishing Classic. We hit Atlantic and Cape May counties next with at least one quality catch and release “over” reported out of Brigantine, with increasing quantities of catch and release “unders” down along the Sea Isle stretch in Cape May County. A six-hour-long partial lunar eclipse – the longest within a span of 1,000 years – aligns with the full moon Thursday into the early morning hours of Friday, all in conjunction with a strong cold front moving across the region.
