Spring Has Sprung & NJ’s Ocean Striper Run Has Begun!
You’ll know all there is to know just 25 seconds into this week’s report when you see all the rods bent over aboard the Ocean Explorer with Capt. Bob Quinn out of Belmar on Wednesday as a wave of coastal striped bass barrels through along the Jersey Shore this week. Except for a little talk about winter flounder and the April 1 restart of tautog, the first 12 minutes of this week’s video fishing forecast is all about the bass, ’bout that bass! After announcing our Sterling winner for the week and hinting about the bluefin in this week’s report, Hutch did receive a report overnight from Capt. Fred aboard Andrea’s Toy about bluefin off the Jersey Coast this week. The big story this week takes over at the 14:05 mark of this week’s forecast as Hutch provides a comprehensive first-person analysis from the March 16th field hearing in Wildwood, what Congressman Jeff Van Drew called “the launch of a congressional investigation into offshore wind (and we call it offshore wind industrialization).”
