Targeting Spring Stripers & Weakfish

April Showers Bring Grand Slam Fishing In May
There’s a lot to cover in this week’s video fishing forecast for the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region, so buckle up! We have summer flounder (fluke!) season kickoff in the Garden State on May 2 for starters, and all you need to know about the flatties is covered inside the May edition of The Fisherman out this week. Tiderunner weakfish have arrived at the Jersey Shore and continue to show in better numbers – that too you’ll find in our May edition of The Fisherman! A trickle of cocktail size bluefish are here this week, perhaps just a precursor to an all-out assault to follow along local beaches and inlet bulkhead soon enough (no better time than the present!) We run through the striped bass reports for the week starting in South Jersey and moving up along the coast with the fall run. Blackfish comes to an end this weekend at the Jersey Shore, though we’ll see the return of black sea bass in just a couple of weeks while black drum reports continue to show larger specimens on the prowl. Get an inside look at the May edition of The Fisherman Magazine this week, with new wrinkles on the Dream Boat Fishing Challenge and a tracking update on a tagged striper named Berkeley from the ongoing Northeast Striped Bass Study.
