New Jersey – Unicorns, Feed Them & They Will Come (9/26/24)
Two big shows in the region to kick off this week’s video fishing forecast, the three-day Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo in Lakewood from September 27-29, as well as The Fisherman’s Inshore, Offshore & Surf Show on Long Island on Thursday, September 26. The October edition is out this week, with the New Jersey region featuring guitar Mickey “Deaner” Melchiondo and bassist Les Claypool on the cover with a “rocktoberfest” striper. More mullet madness on Open Boat with Jenni, fluke ends as black sea bass is set to begin in a few days, and more E/NW in the forecast could mean more striped bass in the mix in the heavy surf. Spend 13 minutes in search of “unicorns” this week as we target Barnegat Bay weakfish, first with shedder crabs and then switching over to live grass shrimp.
